This artwork depicts one of Stockholm’s most iconic silhouettes –  the Kaknäs Tower (Kaknästtornet).

Rising 155 meters above Gärdet, the tower overlooks the city and the archipelago. Designed by architect Bengt Lindroos and completed in 1967, it is one of the foremost examples of Swedish Brutalism – an architectural style often characterized by raw concrete, strict lines, and monumental presence.

The Kaknäs Tower is more than just a building – it is an architectural symbol of an era when Stockholm grew with confidence and looked towards the future.

Situated in Gärdet, within walking distance of both Djurgården and Östermalm, the Kaknäs Tower has always held a special place in the city’s skyline. Although it has been closed to the public since 2018, it remains a powerful landmark of Stockholm – a pillar of architecture, communication, and identity.

This artwork is printed using pigment-based Giclée Fine Art printing on 210 gsm Hahnemühle Enhanced Fine Art Paper.
